I'll fulfill two of my wishes:- Buy better measuring equipment for the tests on this blog
To better perform the popular tests of affordable (measuring) equipment and kits, I want to invest in better and additional measuring equipment. On the wish list:
- AC mV meter.
- Audio generator with very low distortion.
- Harmonic distortion meter.
- Variac.
- A 199999 meter as a reference for my multimeter tests. - More budget for the purchase of products to be tested
I buy most of the tested products myself because I don't want to build up a dependent relationship with suppliers and manufacturers. That is why fairly cheap products are tested. With your donations I also get the opportunity to buy some more expensive products for the tests.

This meter, with a lowest measuring range of 1 mV and a bandwidth of 2 MHz, is ideal for measuring the hum and noise at the output of stabilized power supplies. Thanks to my sponsors, I was able to obtain another nice device for my test lab: the Marconi TF2015 HF generator with the TF2171 Digital Synchroniser. Delivers modulated and unmodulated sine wave signals between 10 MHz and 520 MHz, with a very high accuracy. Voltage adjustable between 0.2 µV and 200 mV. This month I have added an EL-USB-TC temperature data logger to my measuring equipment. With this device, I can easily follow the temperature of power transistors, MOSFETs and transformers and plot it in a graph. Indispensable when testing power supplies and power amplifiers!

This month, two second-hand standard capacitances were purchased as a reference for all capacitor measurements in our lab. These have a guaranteed tolerance of ±0.05 % and values of 0.1 μF and 1.0 μF. Thank you, donors!
Now that we are working on professionalising our test lab anyway (and there is some donation money left over), we buy a set of five resistors with a tolerance of ±0.01% and extremely low tempco from DigiKey.
